New designs in the works. Yes, I am insane. Why do you ask?
I've had my head buried in the computer for weeks now designing new pieces. Here's a couple of items that are almost ready for production.

Carapace Ring. I've ordered a few of these in US 6 size, but I'm still awaiting verification.

Eggsac Pendant. Haven't ordered one of these yet, but it's nearly ready to go. I am beginning to really hate 3D splines, they eat my life.
In the works are: buckles, cufflinks, more earrings, plugs for larger gauges, and more!
All this is brought to you by DubFX on repeat, and excessive amounts of Travelers 'crack' Masala Chai.

First 3D print samples

I received these in the mail at the end of September, but the relocation to Seattle delayed me from posting good photos of the results.
Here are the first samples of the Spine earring model, which you may recognize from below. There is a definite texture imposed by the manufacturing process, but I think it adds to the appearance rather than detracting from it.

3D Printed Jewelry
Since I'm currently without a proper lab, in the works are a number of pieces to be printed in stainless steel by Shapeways. The first round of test pieces are on order, so I'll soon find out how well this actually works.

In the meantime, here are computer renderings of the earrings I'm awaiting.

Alien Tentacle Plugs
This pair of 5/8" plugs is my first larger, more complex plug design. They are made of silver and brass, and use short lengths of fluorescent fiber optic wire for the green eyes, which glow when exposed to bright light.

Greater Camera Beast
This was completed the very last minute of the absolute last day of the final, final week of classes, but here it is!

Built nearly entirely out of copper, this piece is more sculptural than jewelry. In the beast's head is an infrared, black and white video camera that, when connected to video goggles or a television screen, allows a human to see in the dark like a creature of the night.
